Acer T232HL — Giving Touch on the Desktop a Pleasant Experience

It's been 7 months since Windows 8 was introduced and a lot of complaints from fellow enthusiasts is Windows 8 UI's lack of integration with the mouse-and-keyboard combo. There's always that feeling that the Windows 8 experience requires touch like how well perceived the phone counterpart is but we're not talking about a cellphone here, not a tablet but a desktop computer. Anyway, enough of the rants of the shortcomings of the new operating system since I'm here to talk about one of the first touchscreen monitors to emerge, the T232HL.

Before we go deeper into what this monitor has to offer, let me show you the unboxing. Acer went for a clean-look here and yet, very eye-catching. The box lists the features of the monitor as well as a picture of what looks like beneath the clean packaging.

A Closer Look at the Lenovo IdeaPad U310 Ultrabook

y good friend Jeremy recently called me to checkout a certain IBM product that came in. There were no names given except that it's an Ultrabook from Intel. If you're not familiar with the term, Ultrabooks are somewhat a higher-end netbooks — a term coined by Intel themselves. Unlike netbooks however, these new line of products do not compromise performance and battery life for its small footprint. In other words, you have the small sized netbook profile and yet performs like a full-sized laptop except it consumes less power and obviously runs longer.

We wasted no time and immediately scheduled a visit for the review — had to move it to a weekend because of work schedule but I was glad we did because I was pleasantly surprised when I received the package.
